The Weekly Dispatch: Issue 12 (A Special Edition from the Void)
Honestly, if I ever had any street cred, this is the week it goes straight out the window. This special edition is being written from the vacuum between Christmas and New Year’s - so it's a free for all. There is very little I can recommend in good faith beyond the basics: step outside, rewatch Gilmore Girls, allow a controlled amount of doing absolutely nothing, napping irresponsibly, and maybe jot down a few thoughts about where you’d like the year to tilt next. We get marketed this week as the moment to reinvent everything, yet we are not renovation projects; a little fine tuning is more than enough. The only real assignment is to emerge on the other side slightly more rested, vaguely more oriented, and on good terms with yourself. So, instead of my usual earnest recommendations we are proceeding with a special edition devoted entirely comfort, nostalgia and leaning in to everything these days can be.
